First caterpillar I found was quite far along, and cocooned within a day or two. Then I found two more, small little guys. It looks like they are starting to cocoon now. And then this! Found as an egg, and it just hatched. Two other eggs still to hatc

Working hard at trying to attract different butterflies this year, and provide habitat and refuge. This beauty stopped by the butterfly bush today - swallowtail I think. Gorgeous colouring.

Yay! Small victory. We've been trying to provide some butterfly habitat here. Not many winged visitors. Until today! Monarch caterpillar on our milkweed. Excited!
